Sneakers at Work – Yay or Nay?

November 3, 2017

Don’t get me wrong, I love wearing a great pair of heels to the office, but isn’t wearing sneakers to work amazing? It’s exciting to see so many offices officially accept sneakers at work. You asked, how can I wear sneakers to work without looking too casual? And we’re answering with a quick how-to for dressing up those sneakers.

First, find out if sneakers are appropriate for your work dress code. Nowadays, more and more workplaces are shifting to business casual or even no dress code. Do you work in a casual, creative workspace? If yes, then you should definitely give sneakers a shot. If not, it may be best to consult with your HR department before hopping into those sneakers.

This combo will give you major style points around the office as you’ll look super trendy, but also be comfy!

Now how do you rock the sneaker trend?
Dresses and Sneakers – Mix and match your workwear with sophisticated and sporty pieces. A dress paired with all-white sneakers is a trendy, minimalist, and office-appropriate look. Converses and maxi dresses are a great way to wear this combo.

Suits and Sneakers – Nowadays, suits are so versatile that they can go with any type of shoe. Just a simple change of shoes – from heels to sneakers – can completely change your look from formal to casual.

Jeans, Blazers, and Sneakers – Dress up your standard sneakers and jeans by adding a blazer to your look. We’ve got a ton of really great blazers you can request in your next box!

Now that you are going to start wearing sneakers to work, how do you find the right sneakers?

High tops, low tops, or slip-ons, the possibilities are endless when it comes to sneakers. The right sneakers are the ones that match your work wardrobe and make you feel nice and comfortable. What’s really important is that your work sneakers are clean and in good condition. Adding sneakers to your workwear outfits adds a casual twist to your work wardrobe.

Sneakers aren’t just for the gym anymore. We believe it’s possible to wear sneakers while still looking professional and polished – if you do it correctly!
